GROUP CHAIRMAN: DR ALEX MAHAPA

Dr Lesiba Mahapa has a PhD in the Psychology of Education from the University of Johannesburg, a Master’s in the Psychology of Education, and a BEd degree in education, Training and Development. His other qualifications include a higher education diploma, a secondary teaching diploma and a postgraduate diploma in labour law. Dr Mahapa has more than 30 years’ experience in the public service. He started his career
as an educator and subexaminer in the Department of Education before joining the South African Police Service as a senior police officer tasked with training equity managers. Dr Mahapa was appointed as head of department for collective bargaining at the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (Popcru) and was also appointed as chief negotiator for the Congress of South African Trade Unions Public Sector. He has served as vice chairperson of the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council and in the same role at the Safety and Security Sectoral Bargaining Council. In 2009 he was appointed as Chief of Staff, and was reassigned within the Department the following year to manage public service negotiations as the acting deputy director-general for labour relations and remuneration management in the Department of Public Service and Administration. He has served as a Deputy Director General of DPSA among others and continues to serve in advisory committees at a ministerial level in South Africa. He currently serves as a member of the advisory counsel for Minister of Defence and Military veterans. He is also on the advisory team for Minister Sisulu of Human Settlement, for housing delivery of military veterans. Dr Mahapa is also a board member of GEPF.

GROUP CEO: KABELO TLHABADIRA

Mr Tlhabadira holds  a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Information Technology (Software Development) which he received in 2014 at the Tshwane University of Technology and a National Diploma in Information Technology  (Software Development) from the same Institution which he obtained in 2012. He  has a certificate in Querying 2012 SQL Server Database which he obtained at Toque IT in 2015, a certificate in Administering 2012 SQL Server which he obtained at Torque IT and a certificate in 2012 Server Data warehouse development from the same institution. He has served in a number of leadership positions including being elected in the Ward Committee of Ward 3 Tshwane region, as the of head of Health and social development . He led a team that facilitated an early childhood development programme in ward 3, which assisted pre-schools withinin the ward to comply with municipal bi-laws. He has 5 year’s experience in Information Technology support services and software development. Kabelo has worked as a Helpdesk Analyst for 1 year for an non-profit making organisation called Right to Care situated at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, he has worked as a Support Engineer for the same organisation for 3 year. Kabelo has also worked as a Database administrator for the same organisation.
